Falken Tires witnesses thrilling end to Red Bull Car Park Drift in Oman

Falken Tires was centre stage to see the nail-biting finish to the Red Bull Car Park Drift in Oman on October 28. In a pulsating and action-packed showdown, Ali Al Balushi aka ‘Lalou’ narrowly beat Haitham Al Hadidi and Tarek Al Shaihani to claim his fourth consecutive win at the annual event and be crowned Oman’s King of Drift.

The final scores from the spectacular showcase, which was held in conjunction with Oman Automobile Association and on their premises, reveal just how tight the finish was; Ali Al Balushi scored 387 points, Haitham Al Hadidi 385 and Tarek Al Shaihani 382. All three drivers will, however, go on to compete in the Red Bull Car Park Drift Final in December, which will also be held in Oman.

Legendary drifter Abdo Feghali once again developed the challenging track, which 16 drifters initially pitched their skills against. Throughout the day, spectators were enthralled, entranced and amazed by the driving prowess of the competitors, before being left on the edge of their seats during the final stages of the showdown.

We also made the day even more memorable for a number of racing fans; five winners of our Facebook competition were given couple’s passes to the event, while one lucky winner got to truly experience the thrill of race day during a co-pilot drive with Abdo Feghali.

Fuelling the momentum and action away from the track, we kept fans entertained at our booth. PS4 consoles featuring the Project CARS game gave visitors the chance to jump behind the controls and try their hand at performance driving. We also handed out fantastic Falken-branded goodies to all the fans that visited our booth.

After such a thrilling finish in Oman, we can’t wait to see what the next event will hold. Taking place on November 12 at BIC, Sakhir in Bahrain, we’ll be there to take in the action and share in the excitement with fans at our booth. Can’t wait to see you there!
