Falken Tires fires up the excitement at Red Bull Car Park Drift in Dubai

Dubai’s City Walk buzzed with energy, adrenaline and roaring engines as Red Bull Car Park Drift took over the area on November 17, 2017. Motorsports fans and curious passers-by were stopped in their tracks by the amazing driving skills on display, while our Falken Tires’ stand also kept the crowd entertained throughout the event.

The action kicked off in spectacular style with 44 drifters taking part in the qualifying round, and presenting the judges - Abdulla Jaafari, Anthony Jannarelly, Hasan Draz and Issa Al Sahmsi - with the tricky task of whittling the field down to just 16 drivers.

The final three rounds saw the UAE’s drifters bringing their very best driving skills into play. Sending smoke billowing out of their tires, they manoeuvred their slick vehicles around the track in the hope of securing the final spot in the Red Bull Car Park Drift grand final next month.

And it was Mohammad Al Mansouri who emerged triumphant, closely edging out Mahmoud Al Kamali. Al Mansouri clinched the title in his Nissan Silvia S13 with a total of 364 points, while runner up Al Kamali scored 358 points. Jawad Tuffaha placed third in his Toyota Supra with a points total of 324.

Drift legend Abdo Feghali was also on hand to entertain the crowd and to provide one Falken Tires’ follower with a lasting memory. The lucky winner of our Facebook competition got to experience the ride of his life, acting as co-pilot to Feghali on an electrifying spin around the track. He also received two VIP passes to the event.

Our stand at the event also proved a big hit with motoring fans who stopped by to meet our team and pick up one of our fab goodies bags, which were filled with a selection of Falken branded items.

With the line-up now complete for the Red Bull Car Park Drift final in Kuwait on December 8, 2017, it won’t be long before we know who is 2017’s King of Drift for the Middle East. We can’t wait to see what the finalists have in store for us in Sirbb, in fact, we’re already firing our engines ready to go. See you there.
