Falken Tires gets the adrenaline pumping at Red Bull Cark Park Drift Finals in Kuwait

It all boiled down to the top 15 drifters from the region to fight it out for the coveted title of 2017 King of Drift, and the 4,000 motorsport spectators were kept on their toes as each and every competitor brought their A-game to the Red Bull Car Park Drift Finals on 10th November. Falken Tires also kept the energy going, with its stand engaging many spectators with various entertainment offerings.

The Sirbb Circuit in Kuwait was full of fans lining up to catch the high adrenaline spectacle as top drifters from the region faced off to be crowned 2017 King of Drift. Facing a challenging track concocted by Abdo Feghali, Guinness Book World Record holder for the longest drift, the competitors faced off in 3 heats. Each of the heats was judged by top motorsport and drifting experts and athletes – Elias and Johannes Houtdonji from Germany, Aleksandr Grinchuk from Ukraine and Khaled Al Mudhaf from Kuwait.

The competition was fierce, but Rafat Al Yahyai in his Nissan Sylvia clinched the title with a jaw-dropping 378 points in the final round, making sure that the crown stays in Oman for another year. And while Rafat Al Yahyai took the crown, Ali Makhseed from Kuwait let his smoke do the talking – impressing the judges to take home the King of Smoke title, sponsored by Falken Tires.

And taking in this exciting spectacle were our followers, with each of the four winners from Facebook getting couple passes to catch the action live. The motorsport fans were also treated to goodie bags filled with a collection of fun and exciting items, handed to them at the Falken booth.

This year, the competition upped a few gears with some incredibly breathless displays of skill and talent. And when these competitors face off again next year, you can guarantee that Falken will be there right in the thick of the action. See you next year!
