Falken Tires gets the crowd going wild at the Red Bull Cark Park Drift Qualifier in Oman

Red Bull Car Park Drift 2018 kicked off in Oman in spectacular style, and Falken Tires was in the thick of the action once again. The competition, which will see the Middle East’s best drifters battle it out to be crowned King of Drift, got off to a roaring start at the Oman Automobile Association in Muscat.

The crowd was full of expectation with 2017’s King of Drift Refaat Ali Yahyai leading the field. And he certainly didn’t disappoint. Yahyai produced an electrifying display from the moment he first revved his engine, securing the top place podium finish and the chance to defend his crown at the Final in Lebanon later in the year. Yahyai wasn’t alone in bringing the crowd to its feet though, Tariq Al Shaihani and Younis Al Abri who took second and third positions, also delivered thrilling displays on the challenging track.

Among those fans to witness the clear blue skies turn smoky were several Falken Facebook followers. Two fans each won two VIP passes to the event, while even one luckier follower enjoyed the VIP experience and an exciting co-pilot ride with Abdo Feghali. The Falken Tires booth also proved a hub of excitement as fans flocked to it to collect goodie bags packed with fabulous Falken-branded items.

Red Bull Car Park Drift 2018 may have only just begun, but Refaat Ali Yahyai is already looking like the drifter to beat! With the UAE qualifier next up on February 2 in Abu Dhabi, we can’t wait to see what action the UAE’s best drifters will deliver. Whoever takes top spot in the UAE, we know motorsports fans will be in for an entertaining showdown. And Falken Tires will be right in the middle of all the adrenaline-pumping action too.
