Falken Tires gives fans a showstopping turn at Red Bull Car Park Drift in Abu Dhabi

Two qualifiers in and already Red Bull Car Park Drift 2018 is shaping up to be another thrilling contest, with Falken Tires once again helping to make this a memorable drifting series. Abu Dhabi was the location for round two of the event, and the UAE’s drifting giants didn’t disappoint.

The picturesque corniche in the UAE’s capital city was transformed into a tricky track to challenge even the most accomplished of drivers. And it was Fadi Abu Shehadeh who managed to master it with most style and flair. Taking the title of the UAE’s King of Drift for the first time, Abu Shehadeh topped the leaderboard with a score of 319.

Faisal Al Zaabi and Hazza Al Hosani fought a close battle to clinch the second and third positions, with point totals of 306 and 303 respectively. While Abu Shehadeh moves on to the Series final in September in Lebanon, UAE motoring fans were left reflecting on an afternoon of exciting drifting antics.

And it wasn’t just the track that had motoring fans enthralled, visitors to our Falken stand at the event were thrilled to pick up brilliant goodie bags filled with fantastic Falken-branded items. The crowd was also peppered with a few lucky Falken Facebook followers who won passes to the event. We also rewarded one lucky Falken fan with an unforgettable ride-of-a-lifetime with drift legend Abdo Feghali.

As the smoke disappeared into the Abu Dhabi evening sky, fans’ thoughts turned to the next stage of the Red Bull Car Park Drift Series, which will see the drift shift to Cairo, Egypt. With engines set to start firing at 3pm on February 16th, we’re already anticipating another action-packed showdown. We’ll be there to witness the drama; we hope to see you there too.
