Falken Tires ignites the excitement at Red Bull Car Park Drift in Doha

Qatar’s drift fans certainly weren’t disappointed when they turned up to watch the latest round of Red Bull Car Park Drift 2018. As well as a stellar line up of drivers – 25 hit the track in round 1 – fans were also cheered by Falken’s presence at the event.

Losail Circuit Sports Club in Doha played host to the competition, which saw Qatar’s most talented drifters battling it out to be crowned the country’s King of Drift. Each driver set out to master the tricks and challenges of the testing track and to wow the four judges in the process.

There could of course be only one winner, and it was Mohamad Al Khaiat who topped the leaderboard at the end of the contest. While Al Khaiat claimed the title and his spot in the series final with a winning score of 358 points, Mohamed Qutami was close behind in second with a total of 344. Abdullah Al Mohtaseb and last year’s winner Abdelrahman Fakhroo placed third and fourth respectively.

The competition wasn’t the only source of excitement for motorsports fans. Drift legend Abdo Feghali took to the track for a dramatic piece of drifting, accompanied by a live orchestra, while Red Bull athletes Bryan Capper and Petr Kraus faced off in the Dual of Trials pit.

Falken also entertained fans away from the track, handing out heaps of cool branded goodies at our stand. And that wasn’t the only excitement we brought to the event; following a Facebook competition one lucky Falken fan got Friends of Red Bull passes to the contest and an unforgettable spin around the track with Abdo Feghali. A further four Falken fans also won grandstand passes to the event.

While we were sad to wave goodbye to Doha, we can already hear engines firing up in Kuwait City, the next destination for Red Bull Car Park Drift. The contest kicks off at the Sirbb Circuit on March 9 from 3pm 4pm and we can’t wait to catch the action with you. Ready, set, see you there!
